Learning Disability Awareness focuses completely on individuals and their learning disabilities. Data suggests that 1.2 million people in the UK alone live with learning disabilities. Learning disabilities are often neurological conditions and in some cases, afflict people all their lives. You can either have a learning disability from birth or be suddenly affected along the way. The course is a step by step guide on understanding learning disabilities, characteristics to identify which learning disability the individual has and enable them to go onto lead relatively normal lives. If you wish to pursue a career working with individuals with learning disabilities, this course will enable you to provide the necessary support and guidance for individuals with learning disabilities. They too have their own set of aspirations and dreams and they need someone to believe completely in them. This is where you can play a significant role in ensuring individuals with learning disabilities are able to meet these goals, and have as much right as everyone else to be happy and fulfilled.

Learners can take the exam up to 3 times, and if not successful, should repay the course fee and start again.

Upon the successful completion of the course, you will be awarded the ‘Learning Disability Awareness’ E-Certificate by CPD. The Learner will be awarded an E-Certificate in partnership with BA Training and VideoTiles.

Access Duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lessons at any time.
